How often should you change your toothbrush?

How often should you change your toothbrush?

It is recommended that you change your manual tooth brush every 3-4 months. If you have an electric toothbrush, it is recommended that you replace your toothbrush head more frequently (around every 2 months).

Why should you change your toothbrush?

Old toothbrushes can not only carry a lot of bacteria but they can also be less effective in removing plaque when the bristles are worn out. When the bristles become worn out, it can cause irritation to the gums leading to potential recession and inflammation of the gums.

It is good to change your toothbrush frequently to be sure to maintain good oral hygiene and to prevent any possible gum recession and bacteria overgrowth in your mouth.
