Day by day, there are more news about related incidents. But there is no reason to be panicky about it, especially when you need dental treatment. Dental offices have been practicing universal precautions for infection control. As an implant center, we do implant surgery and restorations everyday. Systematic sterilization and disinfection under scrutiny is performed for every single patient. Currently, the ADA and Virginia Dental Association are updating their recommendations on infection control regarding the Coronavirus 19. We strictly follow the guidelines and our patients thankfully understand the situation following our recommendation. Anybody who might have been exposed to the virus including those who took an overseas trip within 14 days are re-scheduled 14 days after the arrival. No flu-like or cold-like symptom patients are scheduled, and patients with these symptoms are asked to reschedule their appointment at least 14 days after their full recovery. Our practice is an infection-proof office, just like other dental and medical offices. We are at the frontlines in the battle against this virus and will overcome all obstacles it throws at us.
